Enjoy Your Summer

Even though we are making way towards opening up and getting back to some normalcy. This summer may be one largely lived outdoors, where the safest place to see a friend or escape the four walls of your home is in your own backyard or balcony.

Here are a few ideas that will make your backyard summer, fun and memorable.

HAVE A SUMMER DESSERT PARTY

Nothing says summer like ice cream. Get creative and set up a make-and-decorate-your-own frozen treat station for ice cream sandwiches, sundaes, cones with all the sprinkles.

SUMMER SIPS

Maybe you're more into summer drinks on the patio. Just picture yourself out on the deck, the sun is shining, or the night is warm, drink in hand.

You can have a few spirits (my favorite is spiced rum), wine and soft drinks with some sliced fruits for everyone to make their own favorite cocktail.

MAKE POPSICLES

I mean when was the last time you even had a popsicle. You can even make them out of smoothies, have everyone come over and enjoy your homemade popsicles in the yard.

HAVE YOUR MEALS ON THE PATIO

When the weather is nice, there’s no better time to enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner outside, it just feels casual, relaxing and like we’re making most of the summertime.

CAMP OUT IN THE BACKYARD

If you can’t get out to a campground this summer, camping in your own backyard is a great alternative. This is so much fun, especially for the kids.

No tent? Turn your balcony into a star gazing love-nest.

GROW A GARDEN

I'm still a relatively new plant mom but starting to really get into it and creating your own garden even if it's on our patio sounds so exciting and relaxing. The rewards of pretty flowers, fresh grown vegetables and fruit sounds so lovely.

HAVE A CAMPFIRE

Campfires in the backyard are such a fun way to enjoy summer when you can’t get away on holidays. You can even cook hot dogs for dinner, not forgetting the s’mores.

LIGHT IT UP

One of my most favorite things about our patio space in summer, are all the string lights we have. Beautiful lights makes a magical nighttime garden retreat that will make you want to sit outside into the night. I love having evening tea outside.

HAVE A PICNIC

Invite your friends over, lay a blanket out on the lawn and set up a picnic. There’s something so fun and simple about having a picnic for lunch.

I hope you feel inspired with some of these ideas and that wherever you are in the world the weather is lovely.
